Bryant

Just north of the University of Washington rests the community of Bryant. Bryant was once a sawmill town that is now a quiet collection of largely upper-middle class families. The housing styles range from small Tudors, bungalows and craftsman-style homes to a number of newly-built larger homes. The eastern Lake Washington side of Ravenna-Bryant has grand beautiful homes with sweeping mountain, territorial and cityscape views.

The community is very supportive of its local public school, Bryant Elementary. Volunteers put in hours of work helping it to be one of Seattle's largest and most academically successful elementary schools. The after-school program is also very popular in the community, with classes in cultural and ethnic arts, languages, music, and sports. The community also enjoys Bryant Playground filled with open spaces, basketball hoops, tennis courts, and a fantastic play area. Another highlight is the community's access to the Burke-Gilman trail at the Burke Gilman Playground park. Small eateries, neighborhood coffee shops and the University Village shopping facility are all within a pleasant walking distance. Come to visit and relax or stay and find a nice home for yourself in Bryant.
