Edmonds is a picturesque waterfront community just a short distance north of Seattle. It is a great place to live, visit, and work. It has an appealing small-town quality with many of the amenities found in a larger city. Edmonds is known to have an active arts community where the visual, performing, and literary arts flurish. It is home to a ballet company, a regional symphony, a youth orchestra, two theater groups, various dance schools, and numerous arts organizations.
The downtown waterfront has a number of scenic parks, including Brackett’s Landing North; Brackett’s Landing South; Olympic Beach and Fishing Pier, and Marina Beach. The Port of Edmonds provides a full-service Marina for locals and guests, as well as dry-dock facilities, a boat launch, and parking. The marina is the setting for many leisure and business activities and has beautifully landscaped grounds as well as wonderful views. A one-half-mile-long boardwalk along the marina connects Olympic Beach and Marina Beach Parks. The bowl-shaped basin of the hillside above downtown gives many of the homes in area stunning views that include downtown Edmonds, the Puget Sound, and the Olympic mountains as a backdrop. Sunsets are magnificent in this area. Once you visit Edmonds you may never want to leave.
